Frucon creates and manages the official online retail stores for global brands. We are uniquely differentiated in our approach to eCommerce that seamlessly blends eCommerce platforms with digital marketing, order fulfilment and customer care. We see significant demand for our services in the market and are putting in place the right organization to successfully scale our business. The recruitment of a Head of Data & Insights is further step towards transforming Frucon into a data and insight powered organization.

As our Head of Data & Insights, you will have the unique opportunity to shape all data related aspects of our business. Your key mission will be to help us to turn data into one of our key assets to create value for Frucon and for the brands we serve. You will have the opportunity to further grow a highly motivated team in an entrepreneurial, international and fast paced environment. Next to defining our data & insights strategy, you will be setting-up, operating and continuously improving all our data and insight related processes. This means you will look after data sourcing and management, data visualization, analytics and machine learning.

Reports to:



  • Data & Insights Strategy
    • Work with the CEO to translate of the company vision and strategy into a well-defined Data & Insights strategy
    • Define, put in place and follow-up what is needed for Frucon to become a data and insight powered organisation
  • Data & Insights execution
    • Work with our client teams to identify areas in their eCommerce business where using data, analytics and machine learning could create additional value by growing their sales or by improving their eCommerce operational efficiency. E.g. promotion optimization, online pricing and product range optimization, personalization…
    • You will be the primary liaison between our clients and our internal teams. You will understand our client’s needs and inspire/teach them to work with the data, analytics and machine learning models created by our data & insights team
    • You will work with our teams across all part of our business to create internal value from data. These are some of the practical questions you might want to dig into:
      • How can we improve the efficiency of our fulfillment business by better understanding the data related to it? How could we help our clients to forecast better in their supply chain process, based on predictive insights from our fulfillment business
      • How can we smartly use data to further improve satisfaction of the customers interacting with our customer care team?
  • Data Operations
    • Work with our Data engineers and our IT team to ensure the right tools and IT systems are in place to efficiently execute our data strategy
    • Setup a framework to measure the impact of every action or change we make. Based on this framework our data analysts will create automated dashboards
  • Team Management
    • Lead, inspire, coach and further grow our Data & Insights team consisting of data engineers, data analysts and data scientists
    • Coach and inspire all Frucon teams (e.g. merchandising, gifts, accounting/finance, warehouse, marketing…) to operate in a data-driven way by explaining and coaching them on the value that can be created by doing so


  • You are curious about data and love to innovate with data to push our business forwards
  • You have a keen interest in all the ins and outs of eCommerce and omni-channel retail
  • You have excellent leadership, business and people management skills
  • Applied statistics and machine learning have hardly any secrets for you
  • You are familiar with big data, analytics and machine learning tools
  • You hold a master’s degree or higher
  • You have 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics and machine learning
  • Experience in a management consulting, IT services or agency environment is a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
